1. What is a Time Bank?
A Time Bank is a community organization that facilitates the exchange of talents and skills among community members. Basically, time banking is spending one hour doing something for someone else in your community. You receive one Time Dollar for that service that goes into the Time Bank as a "Time Dollar". You can then spend that Time Dollar to receive any other service offered in the website listings.
Every hour of service is appreciated equally and earns one "Time Dollar". Exchanges are circular, meaning you do not have to receive a service from the same person to whom you provided a service.
Time Banks are found all over the world. See timebanks.org for more information.
